LifeMap
Terms of Service
Effective October 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of LifeMap at inlifemap.com, including personal timelines, imports, public profiles, Explore, and share links. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
1. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter these terms. Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Tell us through Feedback if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. What LifeMap provides
LifeMap helps you record and view moments, chapters, and decisions and optionally share selected history. Features may change or become unavailable. LifeMap is a reflection and organization tool; it does not provide medical, mental health, financial, legal, or other professional advice. Demo profiles are fictional examples.
3. Your content and ownership
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant LifeMap a non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content as needed to provide the service and carry out your sharing instructions. This license does not give us ownership of your story or permission to sell your private history.
You must have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload, including photographs and information about other people. Avoid publishing another person’s sensitive information without permission. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content.
4. Publishing and share links
You control whether to publish a LifeMap, list it in Explore, and create private share links. Public or unlisted profiles can be viewed by anyone who can reach their URL. Anyone with a private share link can access its included content. Review the content and scope before sharing.
You can change visibility and revoke share links in Sharing settings. Making a public page private does not revoke separate private links. We cannot recover copies, screenshots, or search-engine caches held by others. Viewing someone else’s LifeMap does not grant you permission to republish or exploit their content.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use LifeMap for unlawful activity, harassment, threats, exploitation, impersonation, infringement, or publishing private information without authorization. Do not upload malware, evade access controls, misuse share tokens, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, or scrape private information. Do not use public profiles to stalk, discriminate against, or harm people.
We may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to address violations, security threats, or legal obligations. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to contact us about the decision.
6. Imports, AI and third-party services
Review imported or AI-generated proposals before saving. You are responsible for checking dates, facts, and sensitive details; generated output may be inaccurate. When you copy instructions or information into external AI tools, their own terms apply. LifeMap is not responsible for those providers’ output or practices.
Third-party links and services are provided for convenience. Their availability and content are outside our control.
When connecting LifeMap to ChatGPT, you authorize the connected app to access relevant saved history. New moments require review and your explicit final import confirmation. You remain responsible for reviewing proposed facts and deciding what to store. You can revoke the connection in Settings; OpenAI’s own terms apply to information already returned to ChatGPT.
7. LifeMap’s rights
LifeMap’s software, branding, and design belong to their respective owners. You may use the service for its intended purposes under these terms. You may not misrepresent ownership, remove proprietary notices, or copy or exploit protected parts of the service without permission, except as applicable law permits.
8. Availability, backups and ending use
We aim to keep LifeMap available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every error will be corrected. Keep your own copies of important history using the export tools. You may stop using LifeMap and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations or discontinue the service, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Account deletion removes access to your stored history. Limited retention for backups, security, or legal obligations is described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature must survive termination, including ownership, liability, and dispute provisions, continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. To that extent, LifeMap is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or losses caused by service interruptions or third-party copying of information.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or other protections provided by mandatory consumer law. Your statutory rights remain in effect.
10. Changes, disputes and contact
We may update these terms and will revise the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the service; you can export your history and delete your account.
For questions, reports of harmful content, or disputes, sign in and use Feedback, selecting Other. Include the relevant public URL where applicable and avoid unnecessary sensitive information. We will seek to resolve concerns in good faith. These terms do not require arbitration or waive rights to bring claims in courts available to you under applicable law.
